Each fictional patient is played by AI, with their own portrait and voice. They answer only from their own case, and how they feel shifts with how you consult.

Speak or type, whichever suits you. The 12‑minute clock runs as it will on the day, and the patient responds to empathy, interruptions and clear explanations.

Hello Sarah, I'm the duty doctor today. What's brought you in?
It's this pain in my tummy. It started a few days ago and it hasn't really settled.
It's mostly low down, on the right side.
I'm sorry to hear that. Can you tell me what the pain feels like?
And has anything made it better or worse?

No examiner does. Grades, their reasons and the feedback are AI-estimated and formative: not clinically validated and not examiner-validated, and they do not predict your SCA result.
No. Every station works by text as well as by voice. The room checks your microphone before you start, and the check stays on your device.
In a practice station it is saved only if you choose to save it before you begin. It stays private to you, you can delete it at any time, and it is not used for marking. In Examiner Mode you decide how long a recording is kept: deleted as soon as it is marked, or refused as too short or unclear (if processing fails, it is kept until you delete it, so it can be run again), kept for 7 or 30 days, or kept until you delete it.
No. SCA Guide is independent practice and is not affiliated with the RCGP. Every patient is fictional.
